INSTRUCTIONS
Reason: The reason why I chose this video was because I love how this person
manages to use his lego bricks and turn them into food ingredients as if he
were cooking a real meal.

Week 8
As we have already completed our Project 1 and Project 2. Mr Martin
gave out our Final Project, which is to either do a Stop Motion Animation or
Visual Effects Video. He gave us a template Google Docs document for us to
fill up on our ideas and references.
Before filling up the Google Docs that he provided, I thought of which one I
wanted to do for my Final Project. Between Stop Motion Animation or Visual
Effects Video, I decided on doing the Visual Effects Video as I have
honestly been wanting to try and make these kind of videos.
As I have already decided on what I wanted to do between Stop Motion and
Visual Effects, I filled up the Google Docs document template that Mr Martin
provided. Below is my proposal for my Visual Effects Video.
Reference Links that were provided in the PDF file:
After receiving feedback from Mr Martin about my Final Project proposal, I
decided to work on a script for my VFX video. Below is the script that I
wrote out for my video.

With the feedback received by Mr Martin, I decided to work on reediting the video once more based of the feedback that Mr Martin gave. Below is the final and completed results.
FEEDBACK
Week 9
General Feedback:
Mr Martin looked over my Final Project Proposal
Specific Feedback:
The my storyline idea is good and the vfx videos I want to do are doable.
Overall a good idea.
Week 10
General Feedback:
Mr Martin looked over the script that I wrote for my VFX video
Specific Feedback:
- Scene 1 and Scene 2 can be done together in the same scene
(Maybe while mc is looking at her phone have the text messages appear
floating around her)
- In Scene 6 instead on doing an empty fridge idea I could have:
(have a younger sibling accidentally already ate the cake)
(receive a text message from the friend that MC is the one that needs to
bring the birthday cake)
- Same goes for the birthday gift scene
(MC receives another text message to remind that she forgot to buy a
birthday present)
Week 11
General Feedback:
Mr Martin looked over the storyboard that I have done for my VFX video
Specific Feedback:
In scene 5 instead of showing the MC going down the stares have her already
walking into the kitchen.
General Feedback:
Mr Martin looked over my first draft of my VFX video
Specific Feedback:
Mr Martin mentioned that the VFX parts of the video are good just that my
video needs some trimming as it exceeds the time limit and too many filler
scenes.
Scene 1:
Bring forward the message to the start of the video so that the audience has
time to read the messages. Make the messages pop up one by one instead of them
appearing all together.
Scene 2:
The starting point is too long. Cut up until she is already getting out of bed
Scene 3/4:
The starting point and end point is too long. Trim out some parts of it.
Scene 5:
The scene walking into the kitchen and turning on the light switches is not
necessary. Cut this scene out.
Scene 7:
The end point of this scene is too long. Cut out the part where she bends down
to look at the cake because it does not come out nice due to the top of her
being cut out.
Scene 8:
Cut it out its not necessary scene
Scene 9:
Try putting the message she receives in this scene in the next scene (Scene
10)
Scene 11:
The end point is too long, cut out abit.
Scene 12/13:
Cut this scene out because there is no VFX involved and the scene was
unnecessary
Scene 14:
The Starting point is too long. Cut up until where she has already opened the
first door
Week 15
General Feedback:
Mr Martin looked over my reedited VFX video
Specific Feedback:
After looking over my reedited video, Mr Martin mentioned that the storyline is good already just that the colour is too raw. He suggested to tone the colour of the video to a slightly towards cool color. He also mentioned to change the speech bubble colours as to him it does not look nice and make sense. He too suggested that maybe I could add a subtle music track as it might go well with the story.
REFLECTION
I found this project to be quite fun and interesting as I was able to get a
feel of how Zach King did his videos. The process of coming up with an idea
came to me quite easily though it took quite a while to actually record the
clips that I want. Even though I'm not too happy with the recoloring I did on my clips I'm still overall quite happy with how my video turned out and
enjoyed the experience of making a Visual Effects Video.
